![]() FH3 just crashes after the splash screen! ![]() I've just tried the powershell fix and it didn't work for me. I have never played the game due to this and have only had a week.īUT Forza 7 loads absolutely fine with no issues.Īs i cant seem to find any way to get a refund im seriously considering legal action to get my money back and make a point. i get the first splash screen then nothing! I have tried every option i can find out there still Forza Horizon 3 does not load. I think it a waste of time to download the complete FH3 game. Wait for it to start and after it goes and you see some progress, Cancel it. Login to the Microsoft Store and go to My library, then find a game or app with a down arrow and start the download. I have to say the Best fix I found is what I call the Partial Download Fix. Yes, this is also my case, I use my own account instead of MS account to login Windows.Īfter installing another APP, it was fixed. Nice post btw, very informative, I do hope this helps in contributing to a solution for this problem. The problem did indeed start around when the Windows 10 Creators Update was released. I do believe this is only affecting users using Local Accounts. I myself am using my PC logged with a Local Account. I wanted reply and say that this post by toky00 is a pretty accurate analysis on the problem. Therefore, when you initiate a download from the MS Store, I believe this process re-registers the systems account to get access to the Windows Apps directory which then re-enables access to the locked directory that your apps are installed on. If you look at the folders permission rights, there is an unknown object container. When FH3 does not start, the error log states that the PC can't get access to the exe file to launch FH3.Īnd when manually trying to access the Windows Apps directory, you get permission restrictions. I think that after the Windows 10 Creators Update, there are some issues with registration of MS Store to Local Accounts. I believe this issue happens to PCs that are logged on using Local Accounts instead of MS Accounts I refuse to tie my PC to MS Account in order to log on to a PC. Just initiate the install, and once the download starts, go ahead and cancel it. So I tried this method and it worked! But you don't have to download/install the entire app. Then read about others just installing some random free app to re-register MS Store app to the PC. Originally I was able to fix it by reinstalling FH3, but that's a long and tedious process. This all started happening after updating to the Windows 10 Creators Update. I was also having the issue where FH3 would only load the splash screen and quit.
